Getting to your appointments is important for your health. That’s why transportation to and from approved health care locations may be covered at no cost to you. How transportation works depends on the plan you have. Please click the links above or scroll down to your plan to view more details.

How to Set Up Transportation
VNS Health EasyCare and EasyCare Plus Plans
To set up a ride with our trusted transportation partners call 1-877-718-4209 and have this information ready:
- Date of trip
- Pick-up time
- Provider’s name
- Medical office’s full street address and phone number
- Any special needs (for example, if you use a wheelchair)
You can call the transportation service Monday–Friday, 8 am–8 pm.
For your return home, call 1-877-718-4209 (TTY: 711) when your appointment is over. A driver will be sent to pick you up.
Important Information
You must call to set up your rides at least 48 hours in advance. You can set up rides as much as 30 days ahead of time.
Please call our medical transportation service directly. This reduces the number of steps it takes to arrange a ride. Please do not call VNS Health or your Care Team to schedule your rides.
VNS Health Total Plan
VNS Health Total does not cover transportation as part of your benefits. However, Medicaid covers non-emergency transportation for plan members. Transportation is through the Statewide Transportation Broker, Medical Answering Services (MAS).
You or your provider need to contact MAS directly and have this information ready:
- Your Medicaid ID number
- Date of trip
- Pick-up time
- Provider’s name, full street address, and phone number
- Any special needs (for example, if you use a wheelchair)
How to contact MAS:
- Visit the MAS website or call the numbers below
- For New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and Putnam counties: Call 1-844-666-6270 Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm
- For upstate counties: Call 1-866-932-7740, Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm
Important Information
You or your provider should contact MAS at least three days in advance.
If you have a medical condition and need an ambulance for non-emergency transportation, please call Modivcare at 1-877-718-4220 (TTY: 711), 7 days a week, 8 am–8 pm.
