VNSNY Is Now VNS Health!

We are changing our name, not our health plans!

The name of the organization we belong to has changed, and we’ve changed our name too. But we’re still the same health plan with the same services and high quality you know and trust.

Why the Name Change?

We want to make it easier for people to understand that our organization has different parts, all focused on health. That’s why we are bringing all those services together to include one phrase: VNS Health.

For Our Members
We’re not changing anything but our name. Our services and the people who support you are staying the same.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will the name of my plan change?

On January 1, 2023, the names of our Medicare and MLTC plans will change to include VNS Health. Because people are shopping now for plans that will begin in 2023, the new plan names are on our website and you may see advertising with the VNS Health name.

Can I still use my same ID card?

Yes, continue to use your ID card and get care the same way you always have. In December, you will get a new ID card to use starting on January 1, 2023.

Can I keep my doctors?

Yes, you will still be able to use the same doctors, hospitals, and other providers in our network.

I have a procedure scheduled. Does the name change affect that?

No! Only our name is changing. Your doctor will follow the same process to make sure your procedure will be covered by your plan.

Will I have the same care manager? Will the same people answer the phone?

Yes! The same great people will be part of your Care Team, working to keep you healthy. They will be here to answer your questions and help you get the care you need.

For Our Network Providers
The way we work together isn’t changing. Follow your usual processes for claims, authorizations, payments, and other transactions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need to sign a new agreement to stay in the network?

No. Although we will be known by a new name in the market, our legal name is staying the same. For that reason, new agreements won’t be needed.

Will your email or website addresses change?

Yes, we are now using @vnshealth.org for emails. Please note that any email sent to our old @vnsny.org email addresses will be redirected to our new email addresses — so no email will be lost. Our health plan website URL also recently changed to vnshealthplans.org. Because we know many people have bookmarked pages and forms on our old website, the most-used pages will route automatically to the new website pages and forms. Please be sure to update your bookmarks, so they will go directly to our new website.

Can we get samples of the new member ID cards?

Yes. We will post samples of the new ID cards in the health professionals section of our website and share them in our electronic provider newsletter. If you don’t receive the provider newsletter you can sign up here.

Where can I get more information about the name change?

Updates will be shared in our email newsletter. If you don’t receive it, you can subscribe here. You can also contact Provider Services at 1-866-783-0222, Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with any questions.
